Brown is NOT A FANCY TERM for us – it is the retention of the nutritious bran layer of the rice grain which is otherwise thrown off in polishing to get the shining, white-color rice. It has many superior nutrients like anti-cancer properties, higher anti-oxidants, and lower GI which makes it a must-have.

A fiber-rich and tastier alternative to the polished white rice of today. Brown rice is produced when only the outermost layer of the rice is removed, preserving the fiber and nutrients, which are otherwise destroyed by the polishing that converts brown rice into white rice.

A few of the superior health benefits are it being a rich source of dietary fibre, vitamins B1, B3 and B6 and minerals selenium, manganese, magnesium and iron. Recommended for diabetics and to avoid the risk of type II diabetes (comparatively lower Glycemic Index than white rice).
